As far as doggy sweaters go, this is the finest you can get. The Peruvian alpaca is so soft your doggy will love how it feels. The beautiful colors will draw many compliments and the stretchy loose-knit makes it easy for you to put on your doggy.

We call this doggie sweater the "Nazca", inspired by the Inca ruins in Nazca Peru. Very fascinating and definitely worth looking up but the patterns, designs, and colors are so fun! We designed this sweater with a hole on the back so you can put your dogs harness on under the sweater and then clip the leash to the harness through the hole making it the perfect sweater for walking your dog.

Many people ask us why we make doggie sweaters out of Alpaca.  Once I tell you why, you will see how it totally makes sense.

Alpaca is considered a luxury fiber. It is the closest fiber to human hair, it has no lanolin making it hypo-allergenic and it is hollow like our hair giving it the ability to regulate heat. When it is warm outside it won't heat up your dog but when the temperature drops it triggers the Alpaca to warm up.

We love this because if you go from the cold outside to warm inside (maybe a store), you are not forced to be taking off the jacket and putting it back on over and over. Plus the way we knit the sweater, with ribbed knitting on the chest, it stretches nicely. This not only makes it super easy to put on but it also beautifully forms fits around bigger chested dogs like Dachshunds or Frenchies.

When it comes to Alpaca, it is important to know that there are different qualities. The first two haircuts our Alpacas get are called baby Alpaca and for the next 18 years, it is considered Adult Alpaca. Our sweaters are made with beautiful baby Alpaca for the ultimate softness in doggy sweaters.

The sizes are determined by the measurement around the neck (circumference) and the measurement around the chest, right behind the front legs.
